Q: What inspired you to specialize in moving services for seniors?
My family lived on properties with acreage, barns, our buildings, etc. I had a family of woodworking craftsmen. The motto was “we’re throwing nothing away, we might need it!” Eventually, each home and property had to be addressed. I loved it! I found myself also helping friends transition their parents into a new location. Again, I found joy in helping things happen.
Q: How do you support families who feel overwhelmed or anxious about the process?
These are the clients we enjoy the most because we can do the most good for them! Often, seniors aren’t sure of the steps needed to make a successful move with minimal stress.
We help every step of the way. We provide a listening ear, so we can understand and pay attention to what is—and isn’t–being said. Our goal is to always offer a solution and plan that helps everyone. Even after handling hundreds of scenarios, we know that each move is unique. That’s why we tailor make our plans specifically for each individual client.
Q: How does your team customize each move to fit a senior’s unique needs?
We always do a free initial consultation to meet the client, ask questions, and understand the task at hand. Sometimes clients are not sure what they need, and we discuss our 5-step process in helping accomplish their needs:
Any and everything is organized and addressed for what our client needs/wants for their transition to their new home.
We discuss what inventory in the home is being designated for family and friends.
We work together to identify items that can be sold.
We identify items that can be donated.
We coordinate junk removal for everything else that will not be moved, given away, sold or donated.
Q: What steps do you take to ensure belongings and sentimental items are handled with care?
We have over 16 years of experience and a track record of success in this area. We pay close attention to the handling of precious memories and items. In other words, we treat your belongings with the same special care we would for our own!

We arrive to listen, seek to understand the purpose of our meeting. Where they are moving, what their new space involves, etc. Over the years, we have experienced most floor plans in the area! I like to ask questions, make suggestions, and share what has been successful with other clients.
